Miami Beach is located on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, in Southeast Florida. Miami Beach Florida Bed and Breakfasts are an ideal base from which to explore this fascinating city and its surroundings. From bustling neighborhoods to coral reefs, the Miami Beach area has it all.

Urbanites will enjoy exploring the numerous neighborhoods of Miami Beach and Miami. Each has its own distinct personality and flavor. There is delicious café con leche in Little Havana and magnificent murals of African-American heroes in Liberty City. Miami Lakes is lush and green, with a quaint shopping district.

The Art Deco Historic District of Miami Beach is home to the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world. Tours of the district are a "must" item for fans of Art Deco; guided tours are offered several times a week by the Miami Design Preservation League, which rents ipods for those who wish to tour the district at their own pace. Some buildings, like the Winterhaven Hotel, are tall and angular. Others, like the Commodore Hotel, are curvaceous and bold.

Just south of Miami Beach is Key Biscayne, an island paradise. Here are the white sandy beaches of Crandon Park, one of the most lovely beaches in the country. Still farther south is Biscayne National Park, a slice of paradise with colorful coral reefs and calm waters. It is a popular place to scuba dive and snorkel, thanks to the coral reefs and a few old shipwrecks. The park offers guided canoe tours, fishing seminars, and much, much, more. Also worth a visit during a Miami Beach Florida Bed and Breakfast vacation are the Florida Everglades, either individually or with a tour group.
