Auburndale is a city in Polk County, Florida located 40 miles northeast of Tampa and 59 miles southwest of Orlando.  Auburndale is located within the Central Florida Highlands.  Auburndale is a rural area with some interesting places to visit.   The Barn has long been a landmark in Auburndale with a wide array of wonderful antiques, where you will find treasures you may not even know you need.  The Barn Antiques, established in 1969, is a large, family-run antique shop.   They sell a wide variety of items, most of them dating from the early 19th through early 20th centuries. Since The Barn was founded, it has expanded within the family to include a variety of shops. 

You’ll also find great restaurants in Auburndale and the surrounding area.

Lake Myrtle Sports Complex Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing  and the City of Auburndale have built a new multi-purpose sports complex at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park site. The baseball complex consists of five collegiate-size baseball fields. Each field is equipped with electronic score boards, oversized dugouts, home and visitor bullpens and batting cages.
