The beauty of Florida's Space Coast is that one day guests of Mims Florida Bed and Breakfasts may view the Apollo Treasures Gallery, and the next they may explore one of the wildest places on the coast - the Canaveral National Seashore. Kayaking, surfing, hiking along dunes and relaxing on pristine beaches are prime activities here; given the vastness of the Canaveral National Seashore, which spans 24 miles of beach along the Canaveral Peninsula, it is not difficult to find secluded areas and enjoy the beach alone.

On nearby Merritt Island, the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge has 140,000 acres of saltwater estuaries, coastal dunes, and hardwood hammocks. Bird watching is a favorite activity here, as is kayaking and canoeing. When travelers have had their fill of outdoor recreation, Titusville is a charming town with many shops, restaurants, and museums.
