Mr. Seccombe was named one of the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International, one of the Top 50 Global Marketers in Travel by Skift and the 2014 Hospitality Legend of the Year by the South Florida Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Will Seccombe leads the state’s official destination marketing organization in partnership with the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors and the statewide tourism industry. Mr. Seccombe has over 25 years of professional experience, including nineteen years in the Colorado tourism industry. Will currently serves as a member of the U.S. Travel Association Executive Committee, the National Council of State Tourism Directors, the Association of Travel Marketing Executives and the Southeast Tourism Society Board of Directors.
Wayne Howell - Insurance affecting B & B's
Mr. Howell has 31 years experience in the insurance business in Florida. He is one of the owners of Herbie Wiles Insurance, in St. Augustine, FL. Through the cooperation of the local bed and breakfast owners and a Florida domiciled insurance company, the agency helped launch a program designed to insure B&Bs located in the St. Augustine area. This program is now available to qualified B&Bs throughout the state of Florida.
Wayne will be speaking on unique aspects of Insurance related to Bed and Breakfast Inns, Surplus Lines verses Admitted Carriers and Claim Issues.

Rick Akin, a graduate from Eckerd College, began his career in restaurant management. In 1990, Rick moved to the regulatory side of food safety and has served in positions of increasing responsibility for the DBPR as well as the Florida Department of Agriculture in the Division of Food Safety.

ASPIRING INNKEEPER WORKSHOP
There’s much to learn about Innkeeping before you open a bed and breakfast. The Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns Association will be hosting an Aspiring Innkeeper Workshop as a pre-conference activity prior to the 2014 FBBI Conference on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in Orlando, Florida at The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. You’ll learn the “ins and outs” of starting a bed breakfast from experts, The B&B Team, Peter Scherman and Rick Wolf. You will leave with an understanding of the steps you need in buying or starting a bed and breakfast, acquisition, valuation, financing, staffing, innkeeping and hospitality. An informative and fun day of learning what you need to know before starting a bed and breakfast endeavor!
As an Aspiring Innkeeper you need a clear vision of starting a bed and breakfast as a business and a lifestyle. In this workshop we will address and work with you to understand all aspects of this wonderful and rewarding career. Our goal is to insure that your goals are met as you work through the process. We will work with you to help you decide whether Innkeeping is the right profession for you, personally and financially. Your workshop provides a comprehensive overview of starting a bed and breakfast from Amenities to Zoning.
The One Day Aspiring Workshop: $99.00 for one person or $125.00 for couple (2)
FBBI Conference Banquet Sunday and Social Hour with Vendors:
